Ireland's Leeside Shipping has revealed the launch of the first boxship service between Cork and Liverpool.
The agent for operator BG Freight Line said the run would allow Irish customers to make connections with deep-sea UK services, the Irish Examiner reported.
The weekly service will run from Liverpool to Cork on Saturdays and Wednesdays and operate from Cork to Liverpool on Mondays.
