The captain of an NYK boxship has blamed a US warship for a serious collision off Japan last week.
Reuters cited a report from master Ronald Advincula of the 2,858-teu ACX Crystal (built 2008) that claimed the destroyer USS Fitzgerald failed to respond to warning signals or take evasive action.
The clash in Tokyo Bay on 17 June killed seven of the warship's crew.
