Seafarers on Evergreen and Scorpio vessels have rescued 30 fishermen from a burning trawler in the Indian Ocean.
The Taiwanese owner said its 4,211-teu boxship Ever Diadem (built 1998) joined forces with the 62,000-dwt bulker SBI Antares (built 2015) off Madagascar on 9 July.
The fishermen had been forced to abandon their vessel.
Ever Diadem was en route from Singapore to Durban when it found them drifting in two lifeboats from the Hsiang Fuh No 6.
