Turkey's Arkas Line has re-started operations with its own boxships to West Africa from Europe.

The company is teaming up with Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM on two routes.

It said the upgrade also features bigger ships and new vessel sharing agreements (VSAs).

The Europe Africa Service (EAS) will see Arkas deploy one of five units, the 2,478-teu Vivien A (built 2010) from 4 September, with Hapag-Lloyd supplying the rest.
