Japan's K Line has swung back into profit on the back of a containership recovery.

The diversified shipowner said net earnings in the first quarter to 30 June were JPY 9.2bn ($83.11m), from a loss of JPY 26.73bn in 2016.

Revenue grew to JPY 287.37bn against JPY 244.59bn over the same period.

Boxships returned to profit, with earnings of JPY 6.1bn,
