Shipping Corp of India (SCI) has revealed another containership sale as it posted a loss in its first quarter.

The state-run shipowner said the 1,543-teu boxship Indira Gandhi (built 1993) had been offloaded, presumably for scrap, during the period.

It followed the auctioning off of the 1,869-teu Rajiv Gandhi (built 1994) for $300 per ldt, or $2.5m, in May.

The company posted a net loss of INR 67.2m
