Intra-Asia boxship operator Wan Hai Lines has cancelled an order for a series of feederships it had agreed at Naikai Zosen Corp in a blow to the Japanese yard.
The order for eight 1,900-teu boxships was reported to be worth up to $236m in total.
Wan Hai announced the contract back in June last year, saying it was part of the company’s long-term development plans.
