German shipmanager Norddeutsche Reederei H Schuldt (NRS) is talking to financial partners in a bid to strengthen its position in the container shipping market.

The development could see company founder and KG (limited partnership) trailblazer Bernd Kortum cede some of his shareholding, with HSH Portfoliomanagement (HSHPM), the state-owned "bad bank" set up to take on poor shipping loans, understood to be pressing for the changes.
