CMA CGM has finally confirmed orders for nine 22,000-teu containerships, ending months of speculation surrounding the order.
It said its board had signed off on the contracts, but it confirmed few other details other than to say the deal was made to keep pace with market growth.
TradeWinds has reported that CSSC's Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding are expected to split the business.
