Greek shipowners Aristides Pittas and George Youroukos are teaming up to offer investors a play on the recovery of the container shipping sector.
The Athens-based shipowners plan to merge the container shipping assets of Euroseas and Poseidon Container Holdings Group to form a company that will be immediately listed on New York's Nasdaq stock exchange.
The hope is to tap into rising investor interest in the containership spot market at a critical time in the shipping cycle.
