South Korea’s new containership company SM Line is joining forces with other Asian players for the first time.

The company, formed by the Samra Midas group with boxships bought from collapsed Hanjin Shipping, is launching a new route to the Middle East with Gold Star Line, TS Lines, RCL and Korea Marine Transport Co, according to Maeil Business.

The China Middle East Express run starts this month, calling at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Port Klang, Karachi and Jebel Ali.
