The Navios group is poised to take its fleet of boxships to 39 vessels with the acquisition of four traditional panamaxes from German owner Hanseatic Lloyd Schiffahrt.

European brokers say Hanseatic Lloyd is selling the 4,730-teu vessels, which have high-paying charters to Cheng Lie Navigation Co. The package is estimated to be worth around $100m.

The APL Atlanta, APL Los Angeles, APL Denver and APL Oakland (all built 2008) are said to have been sold for around $25m each.
