French line CMA CGM is taking over the operation of a reefer container service agreed with Dutch owner Seatrade in the summer.
Seatrade said the vessel-sharing agreement (VSA) had been restructured and would not "proceed in its intended form."
"Seatrade has in recent months evaluated its global strategic options considering current market conditions, including the future involvement in the Meridian Service," it added.
