Maersk Line said it has withdrawn from the Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement, according to a statement from the company.
The Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement is a research and discussion forum for container shipping lines ferrying between Asia and the United States.
Maersk said that its exit stems from its acquisition of Hamburg Sud and promises to exit certain routes due to concerns about market concentration and pricing power.
