A vessel formerly controlled by NSC Shipping of Germany has emerged as the latest unit in Angeliki Frangou’s fast-growing containership fleet.

NSC confirmed last month that it had sold the 4,360-teu Bonaire (built 2010), with brokers suspecting the price to have been around $12m.

However, the buyer’s identity had remained a secret. Initial reports suggested the vessel was acquired by South Korea’s SM Line but TradeWinds pointed out that this was not correct.
