Two cruise lines have cancelled port calls in Egypt over safety fears as anti-government protests continue.

A spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) told USA Today that its 2,376-passenger Norwegian Jade (built 2006) diverted to Istanbul instead of calling in Alexandria on Saturday and Sunday.



And MSC Cruises cancelled a call by its 2,518-passenger MSC Magnifica (built 2010) at the same port on Sunday, plus a visit by the 3,274-passenger MSC
