Global Ship Lease (GSL) has seen the charter of its 8,063-teu boxship OOCL Qingdao (built 2004) extended for up to another year, but at quite the discounted rate.
Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has prolonged its charter of the vessel for another 10 months, with the option to extend to 12 months.
Hong Kong-based OOCL will charter the ship at a rate of $14,000 per day, down 60% from $34,500 per day for the current charter ending 11 March 2018.
