Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk has posted a bigger underlying loss in the first quarter, despite revenue growth.

The company was hit by higher costs, particularly in terms of depreciation, but its bottom line was saved by the sale of Maersk Oil to Total in March.

The underlying net loss was $239m, against $139m the year before. It called this "unsatisfactory".
