Wilhelmsen's ship agency unit and aerospace giant Airbus plan to test drones for delivering spares and stores to vessels at anchorage.
The test will take place in Singapore in the third quarter. Wilhelmsen Ships Service will use an Airbus-designed unmanned aircraft to deliver spare parts, documents, water test kits and 3D printed consumables.
The Singapore Maritime Port Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore were involved in approving the drone test.
