Malaysia’s Shin Yang Shipping Corp has scooped up two more feeder containerships.
It has emerged as the buyer of the 1,008-teu Danum 171 (ex-Maenam 1, built 1997) and 1,152-teu Danum 172 (ex-Sinar Batam, built 1998) for an enbloc price of around $9.2m.
The vessels were reported sold for $6.2m and $3m, respectively, according to VesselsValue, which lists their previous owners as Caraka Tirta Perkasa of Indonesia and Van Yu Trading of Hong Kong.
