Chinese shipowner Wuhan New Port Construction Investment and Development Group (Wuhan XG) has continued its drive into container shipping with a new domestic order.
Brokers said the company's Wuhan Newport Datong unit has contracted two 500-teu feeder vessels at CSC Jiangdong for delivery in 2020.
No price has been given.
The bulker and tanker company branched out into boxships in May with a deal for two new 1,100-teu feeder vessels at Ezhou Guangda in Hubei, also for delivery in 2020.
