Ceylon Shipping Corporation is in talks to relaunch a failed ferry route to India from Sri Lanka.
The company’s new chairman, Kanchana Ratwatte, said discussions had been underway to resume the route following the detention of Indian operator Flemingo Lines’ 12,087-gt passenger ro-ro ferry Scotia Prince (built 1971) in December in a row over unpaid catering bills.
The service lasted less than six months.
