The container line said its new rural servicewill link the West Fjords and northern regions to the UK and Rotterdam from 31March.
One vessel will head from the capital Reykjavikto Isafjordur, Akureyri and Reydarfjordur, before crossing to the Faroes, Imminghamand then the Netherlands.
“The number of ports of call might increase inthe future,” it said.
