Revenuesat the operator of Germany’s flagship container port saw a less pronounceddecline – easing down 7.3% to EUR1.1bn.

Throughputat its terminals in Hamburg and Odessa posted a year-on-year rise of just 1.4%to 7.2mteu, the company said.

FarEast traffic dropped 8.3 % to 2.9mteu due to the economic slowdown. Incontrast, throughput to and from North America was up 19.4 % to 535,000-teu.

Feedertraffic via the Baltic Sea also went up significantly.
