The 511-teu, 5,600-dwt Greetsiel (built 2000) will join from Bockstiegel no later than 30 April.
It is intended to replace the 6,600-dwt Lorcon Zamboanga(built 1984), which has been slated for sale.
LSC said the purchase price is less than 10% of its assets.
It will use cash and a new bank loan to fund the deal.
