The New York- and Oslo-listed shipowner flagged up the potential cancellation of the 4,800-teu duo in a securities filing today, a month after revealing that it cancelled the other two boxships in the order last month.

The John Fredriksen-backed company has blamed excessive delays for those ships as well, as well the cancellation of their time-charter to Germany’s Hamburg Sud.

The remaining two boxships on order, dubbed the Cap Serrat and Cap Sorrell, are scheduled to be delivered this year and which also have time charters to Hamburg Sud.
