The client is Indonesian port company PT PelabuhanIndonesia III (Persero) and the contract is worth over EUR 50m ($68.5m).

Project execution is dueto start in May 2014 and will last ten months followed by a two-yearmaintenance period.

Van Oord says the project involves widening the existingshipping channel to 150 metres and deepening it to 13 metres.

A total of more than 10m-cbm of silt will be removed anddumped at sea, while one or two shipwrecks will also be removed.
