The company said the deal includes all related transport andcargo insurance businesses controlled by Tropical, which connects the US to the Caribbean.
Saltchuk already operates to Puerto Rico through its US-flaggedSea Star Line.
Tropical, which is owned by AGL Resources, will continue tobe run as a stand-alone company.
