Messina launches new run

Italy’s Ignazio Messina is launching a new con-ro feeder run to link the Med to its African lines.

The company said it was making the move to “enhance its presence in the North European and Portuguese markets.”

The fortnightly service will start in the middle of May.

One vessel will carry standard containers, special equipment, rolling cargo and breakbulk.

Ports include Antwerp, Rotterdam, Setubal/Lisbon and Leixoes, linking to the two Med hubs of Barcelona and Castellon.
