Under the deal Kotahi has committed to provide up to 2.5m teu containers to Maersk for the next 10 years, starting 1 August 2014.
In a related move Kotahi has also struck a strategic ten-year freight alliance with New Zealand’s Port of Tauranga.
As with the Maersk deal Kotahi has committed to provide up to 1.8mteu in exports to Tauranga over the next decade.
