German military materiel and hardware is making its way back from the Nato forces in Afghanistan with Danish help, and the German government is highlighting the part played by ro-ro liner player DFDS.
Under a co-operation with the Danish shipowner dating back to 2006, the German government supports the company's construction of ro-ro tonnage suitable for military use, in exchange for the opportunity to call the ships up on short notice.
