These latest orders are due to be delivered between the spring and summer of 2018. No financial terms were disclosed.
In March 2013 K Line ordered five identical containership newbuildings from Imabari for delivery in the first half of 2015.
K Line said the new ships will replace existing tonnage and will improve the efficiency and cost competitiveness of its containership business.
