On Saturday, the crew dispatched by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Local to discharge the 5,000-teu Zim Shanghai (built 2002) was blocked by the protesters.
In a statement, ILWU said clerks and longshoremen trying to report to work were threatened physically by the demonstrators.
Zim Shanghai then sailed for the port of Long Beach in Los Angeles, where it docked and was unloading earlier today.
