The Reederei Bockstiegel-owned 13,732-dwt Asian Trader (built 2003) was arrested in the early hours of Saturday.

The Antigua & Barbuda-flagged vessel was arrested on the instructions of local law firm HA & Chung Partnership.

AIS data shows the ship presently moored to the south west off Singapore’s Sentosa Island in position 01° 23.51'N, 103° 81.52'E.

The ship is the seventh vessel to be arrested in Singapore waters since the start of October in what is possibly a reflection on deteriorating market conditions.
