The company said it was forming a joint venture, Sovereign Ferries, with UK ferry operator CWind to service the deal.

It said there is “high demand” for the operation.

Ferries will link Lungi Airport in Sierra Leone to the capital city Freetown.

The deal is worth at least $300m.
