Import volumes at US ports covered by the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) monthly report are expected to total 1.37mteu this month.
“With most holiday merchandise safely in the country despite significant congestion impacting West Coast ports, import volume at the nation’s major container ports is expected to continue to slow down this month,” the NRF says.
Imports set an all-time record of 1.59mteu
