The Taiwanese liner operator’s Evergreen Line will introduce 18,000-teu vessels, whose size would rival the largest on the water, into its fleet and that of the CKYHE alliance with Cosco Container Lines, K Line, Yang Ming Marine and Hanjin Shipping.
“The line believes that the terms of the CKYHE alliance’s service cooperation will enable it to utilise the capacity of these vessels efficiently, to reduce unit operating costs and to produce the maximum economic benefit from its fleet,” Evergreen Line said in a statement provided to TradeWinds.
