The shipowner said it had bought forwarding company Jac. Meisner Internationaal Expeditiebedrijf for an undisclosed sum.
Meisner, founded in 1959, is based in Rotterdam.
Its revenue is EUR 7.5m ($8.9m) and synergies with Eimskip should give it an annual pre-tax earnings margin of between 8% and 9%, its new owner added.
Meisner has 12 staff led by managing director Dick Weijgertze, who is staying on.
