The Singapore-based company said the Intra Asia 5 (IA5) service will deploy eight 1,100-teu ships.
The new service runs on a 56-day rotation covering ports including: Shanghai, Singapore, Port Klang, Sihanoukville in Cambodia, Busan and Ho Chi Minh City.
MCC claims the new IA5 service will considerably reduce the transit time from ports in China to Yangon.
For example imports from Shanghai to Yangon previously took 18 days but the IA5 will cut transit time to 13 days.
