This month the state-owned company plans to send a survey team to check on possible destinations.

These include Teluk Tomini, Komodo Island, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat, Selayar, Takabone Rate, Karimun Jawa, Wakatobi and Anambas Islands, the Tempo daily reported.

It will then determine schedules, prices and which ships to use.

"We want to give marine tourism experiences to the people. They need affordable transportation and accommodation facilities,” said spokesperson Akhmad Sujadi.
