The Seattle-headquartered cruise line, which is part of the New York-listed cruise giant Carnival Corp, said that the ship will be homeported in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after its inaugural cruises in Europe.
The 2,660-berth ship, one of two Holland America newbuildings under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy, is scheduled for delivery in 2016.
The cruise line said today that after initial European cruises, the ship will move to its new home at Port Everglades for a series of voyages between November 2016 and March 2017.
