The German owner is expanded the capacity of three panamax boxships in China.
The first of these, the 4,860-teu MSC Geneva (built 2006), is now a 6,300-teu post-panamax vessel.
VesselsValue estimates the price of the work at $10m, but the value of the ship is now assessed at $28.25m, up from $18.27m previously.
NSB has carried out the work to keep the vessels profitable.
