The newly established Baku Shipyard has contracted the company to use a semi-submersible vessel to carry the 140-metre long sections.

The hulls will form a new subsea construction vessel named Khankendi that is destined for the Shah Deniz field.

They will first be taken through Suez to the Black Sea.

Once they have been floated off, a series of tugs will take over and tow the sections through the 18 locks of the Volga-Don river system.
