Japanese shipowner K Line has formed a new joint venture to boost its Middle East business.
K Line Shipping & Logistics (KLSL) has been set up in Dubai with Sharaf Group, the first such venture in the region for a Japanese owner, it said.
It will focus on sea and land transport and logistics.
"The company will develop new businesses actively through the networks of K Line and Sharaf Group," it said
Sharaf Group was established in 1976 by Ibrahim Sharaf and Sharafuddin Sharaf and now has 11,000 workers in areas including ship agency, logistics and retail.
