Rickmers Group has suffered a EUR 93m ($98.7m) loss for the first nine of 2015 due to impairments to vessel values of EUR 103m.
Net profit before impairments was EUR 9.2m versus the EUR 300,000 achieved by the company in the same period in 2014.
Despite the persistent challenging market environment the German shipowner said revenue increased by 7.4% year-on-year to EUR 439.7m.
