China has slapped a series of car carrier owners with price-fixing fines running to $63m.

K Line, MOL, Eastern Car Liner, CSAV and two Wilhelmsen-linked vehicles were all cited by The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

NYK was also investigated but was granted immunity after aiding the investigation.

In a statement to investors, Oslo-listed Wilh Wilhelmsen ASA said EUKOR Car Carriers, in which it owns a 40% slice, would pay a $44m fine.
