The US Justice Department has fined two Maersk Group units in a fraud case over military shipments.

Car carrier subsidiary Farrell Lines and logistics wing Damco have paid $3.67m in civil fines, said James Porter, the acting US attorney for the Southern District of Illinois.

Prosecutors accused the arms of the Danish shipping giant with failing to follow terms of their contract with US Transportation Command (USTranscom), the agency that oversees military logistics.
