Maersk Line customers could be asked to firm up contracts from next year as the Danish owner keeps an eye on price and capacity.

The proposed revision of ‘gentlemen’s agreements’, reported by Danish newspaper Borsen, comes in the wake of a law suit filed against parent AP Moller-Maersk in London over an alleged axed contract.

From 2011 Maersk Line may ask customers to firm up the details of the price and quantity of contracts .
