P&O Ferries and DFDS have both hit out at Eurotunnel after it was given permission to enter the Dover-Calais market.
The two ferry operators who already operate on the English Channel route have called for the matter to go to the Competitions Commission.
They argue that the latest move by Eurotunnel will disrupt the level playing field and give the company too much control.
