China has given its blessing for CMA CGM’s takeover of Singapore national flag carrier Neptune Orient Lines (NOL).
The French liner giant said the takeover had been cleared by the Anti-monopoly Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).
With regulatory approvals now received from both MOFCOM and the European Commission, CMA CGM said it expects to announce a formal offer for NOL by 2 June at the latest.
